London Fashion Week continues to be the ‘go to’ event for letting the industry aware of what’s ‘in’ or ‘out’. One of the big stories coming out of this year’s staging was the release of a new fragrance by Stephen Jones. Best known as a celebrity hat designer, Jones created his scent with the help of Commes des Garçons.
If reports online are anything to go by, Commes is pleased with the joint effort. Managing director, Adrian Joffe was quoted as saying “No doubt the perfume business will not be the same again once Mr. Jones enters it with his wondrous concoction.”
The scent is priced at £75, and in keeping with his milliner’s profession, Jones offers it in a small hat box. No name was given for the scent, which will be sold at Jones’ store in Covent Garden in London, and at Dover Street Market, initially.
