Cosmetic Ingredients Company Unveils New Line

Updated Sep 16, 2008

With increasing concerns about the safety of cosmetics, organic ingredients are gaining ground. French based company, Silab recently unveiled its new organic ingredients line at New York’s HBA trade show.

The ingredients, Osilift, Vitanol and Structurine recently received Ecocert certification, leaving Silab free to explore this emerging market. Only products that contain primarily organic ingredients can gain the Ecocert seal of approval. Osilift is a derivative of a sugar found in organically grown oats, and is said to help tone the skin. Structurine is to help to strengthening the skin, while Vitanol has a similar effect on the skin as retinol, without the associated risks of retinol.

A company spokesperson was quoted online as stating that these new products are in keeping with the mission of the company. The aim is to create active ingredients that are gentle on the body and complement the skin`s own natural function.
