Judging by reports, it seems more Americans have no problem with the idea of cosmetic surgery. A recent survey states that the figure has reached 51 percent which represents a three percent jump from the 2009 poll. The study was commissioned by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
According to the survey, 77 percent of Americans who are 65 years or older would be willing to admit to going under the knife. It was also found that 67 percent of those polled would have no problem letting friends or family members know that they had a cosmetic procedure. Consistent with other plastic surgery statistics, more women than men were supportive of people having some work done.
