Encouraging the skin to repair its DNA is the future of anti-aging skin care according to dermatologists. One proponent of DNA approach to anti-aging treatment is dermatologist, Dr. David H. McDaniel. Dr. McDaniel noted that cosmeceuticals of the future will target each individual’s unique DNA and deliver the needed treatment. The ingredients that will help in repairing the skin’s DNA are ultrasomes and photosomes. Ultrasomes and photosomes are bio-engineered products; these ingredients are anti-oxidants and help to undo the damage caused by sun exposure.
Remergent, a product line consisting of seven (7) items was launched in 2006 by AGI Dermatics, and is the first product to use DNA repair techniques.
