Danica Patrick is often seen as the glamour queen on the car racing track. She is one of the most recognizable faces and names, never mind that she has never won any of the major races. The 26-year old is however being accused of having an unfair advantage because of her slight frame. Patrick weights 100 pounds which is way below the average weight of male competitors on the circuit and at least 20 pounds less than the main females on the circuit.
In fact, the IRL (Indy Racing League) has implemented a new rule. This rule will mean that the lightest drivers will need to add 35 pounds to their car while the heavier drivers can subtract weight from their cars.
In most spheres of life, Patrick’s slender frame would be the envy of those around her. She is married to her former physical therapist, Paul Edward Hospenthal.
