A UK-based plastic surgery medical group reports that British citizens are having cosmeticv surgery in incraesing numbers. The Harley Medical Group reports that the demand for plastic surgery among British citizens has increased by one-third. In fact, the Group noted that there has been a 32 percent increase in the number of enquiries they received in the first two weeks of 2008 over 2007.
The Group noted that the demand was not just for plastic surgery procedures such as boob and nose jobs, but also for non-invasive procedures such as laser hair removal and Botox injections.
It was reported that prospective patients resort to borrowing from relatives to finance their surgeries, while others give up going out and vacationing to save the needed funds.
According to the report on Lifestyleextra, men were also getting in on the action.
