Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is facing down claims of possibly deceiving fans. According to online reports, the issue surrounds ads she did for L’Oreal’s Elvive Full Restore 5. She is shown with beautiful wavy locks and she states, “My hair feels stronger, full of life, replenished with a healthy shine.”

In the opinion of many who have seen the ads, Cole may have also replenished with help from hair extensions. Although a disclaimer is posted during the commercials saying, “styled with some natural extensions” many viewers feel this is not enough. It was enough for the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority, however, as the body declined to take action against L’Oreal. For the record, Cole has admitted in the past to using hair extensions for “extra body.”
