Fashion house Ralph Lauren was forced to issue an apology recently after it emerged that they had drastically altered a model’s image. According to the latest online reports, the model Filippa Hamilton has now been fired. The reason, the reports suggest, is that she had gained too much weight.

Hamilton was quoted as saying in response to the reports, “They fired me because they said I was overweight and I couldn`t fit in their clothes anymore. I was shocked to see that super skinny girl with my face...It`s very sad, I think, that Ralph Lauren could do something like that.”

In another twist to the story, it was revealed that Hamilton was in fact fired about six months ago. The fashion house continued to use her image, but continued to digitally alter them.
