The trauma, cost, not to mention pain of having an unwanted tattoo removed may well be a thing of the past thanks to the newest invention from
Jupiter
Medical
Center. According to industry experts, it takes up to fifteen treatments to ‘remove’ a tattoo and can cost thousands of dollars. With the use of Freedom-2 tattoo you can easily nix that ex-lover’s name or symbol with a laser. The new tattoo would be done using dye filled ‘microscopic capsules’ which are applied using a needle as in traditional tattoos, however, once a laser is applied the color disappears.
Freedom-2 is the invention of plastic surgeon Kim Koger. It was designed not only for easier removal, but also to enable persons who are allergic to some inks used in traditional tattoos to now sport the tattoo of their choice. The material used in Freedom-2 tattoos are FDA approved. The tattoo should be available by summer 2007 internationally.
