London newspaper, The Sunday Times has reported that PermaLip, a permanent lip implant can be done in just fifteen minutes. The procedure according to cosmetic surgeons can be done under local anesthesia. According to the report the implants do not affect normal activities such as eating or kissing.
The material used is said to be “soft and malleable” to give a natural look. The procedure is aimed at two main groups, those whose lips have thinned due to aging and persons wishing for fuller lips. The price ranges from £2,000 to £2,500 (approximately US$3,895 to US$4,869).
