Poker Face singer Lady Gaga wants to have her famous stage name trademarked but she has been turned down. Standing in the way is a family owned cosmetics company named Gaga Pure Platinum. According to reports online, Gaga has filed a lawsuit against the company after having her trademark efforts rebuffed twice.
The company has responded by accusing the singer of trying to bully them. This is a deliberate choice of words since Gaga is known for her anti-bullying stance. The company points out that it registered the name 12 years ago, when Gaga herself was just 14. Gaga Pure Platinum was founded by sisters Cristina Samuels and Jennifer Isaac.
