Singer Gwen Stefani has signed a major deal with Coty to create a line of new fragrances. The line, Harajuku Lovers Collection, will consist of five scents named G after the singer, and Love, Lil’ Angel, Music and Baby after her backup singers. Stefani’s excitement at this major deal is evident in her statement, “I didn’t think this project would actually come to life. The idea that Coty would let me do five different fragrances for Harajuku Lovers was a fantasy…”
The singer created dolls based on the teenage girls that frequent the Harajuka area of Japan. This area of Japan caters primarily to the young and is known as the place where people-watching is an art form. The dolls were then used as models for the bottles for the new scents.
They will be available in two sizes, 30ml and 10 ml for approximately $45 and $25 respectively.
