A nurse anesthetist was arrested and charged with the death of patient in 2001. Sally Hill is believed to be responsible for the death of Sandra Joyner because of a thirty year old grudge. Both women were students at the same high school in the 1970s.   Sandra Joyner died five days after getting a face lift at the facility where Hill worked. Hill was the person monitoring her after the surgery when she stopped breathing.

The arrest came after investigators received new information concerning the five year old case. Two witnesses reported overhearing the accused stating that Joyner stole her boyfriend. The incident was ruled an accident by a medical examiner and there was no official police investigation.

Hill had given up her license to practice after Joyner’s death. She is locked up in the Mecklenburg County jail in North Carolina.
