Guthy-Renker has signed yet another celebrity name to represent its acne fighting brand Proactiv® according to online reports. This time it is Katy Perry. In a new marketing campaign the I Kissed a Girl singer will tell her story like so many celebrities before her have done.

Perry was quoted online as saying of her experience, “Acne really made me want to hide. I’d wear makeup to bed or stay in if I had a bad breakout… Since I started using Proactiv I’ve seen a massive change in my face and my confidence.”

Perry’s debut album has sold almost five million copies around the world. Other celebrities who have shared their own Proactiv experiences include Kelly Clarkson, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
