Reality TV star, Kim Kardashian is the latest celebrity to join the expanding fragrance train. The 27-year old will be releasing a new perfume by May 2009. The scent, to be created in collaboration with New Wave Fragrances, will be launched first in the USA, UK, Australia, Japan and Germany.

Online reports have the socialite telling how her perfume deal came about: “It started when my mom introduced me to famous perfumer, Caroline Sabas from Gras, France…” Kardashian said that she has been working with Sabas to create a perfume that would be “uniquely me that I can share with everyone!”

On her blog, Kardashian wrote about her perfume endeavors, “It has always been a dream of mine to start my own perfume business…”
