Magazine to be Investigated for Cosmetic Surgery Prize

Updated Aug 20, 2007

Zoo Weekly, an Australian magazine for men is being investigated for breaches of the Lotteries and Art Union Act. The magazine got into trouble after offering its readers a chance to win a breast job for their girlfriends. The winner of the competition would be determined by readers after they viewed the breasts of the females submitted by their partners.

In addition, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons has stated that any doctor who does the procedure will be removed from the country’s medical registry.

However, apart from investigations for breaches of the lotteries act, Zoo Weekly is also in hot water for placing the pictures of the topless females on a website that is open to all.

Zoo Weekly, in their defense noted that the winner would receive $10, 000 to spend as they see fit, with breast enhancement being one of the suggested uses.
