Men are Going Under the Knife for Job Security

Updated Jun 21, 2008

The current economic crisis in the USA is driving men to cosmetic surgery. According to reports published online, men are opting for anti-aging procedures in a bid to hold on to their jobs and or to get new jobs. Statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) indicates that there has been a 16 percent increase in the number of men having procedures done from 2002 to 2007.

The most popular procedures for those seeking to turn back the clock so as to compete on the job market with younger males are facelifts and eyelid tucks. In addition, men are also going in to have liposuction so as to look slimmer around problem areas such as the waist.
