Updated Mar 10, 2007

Razor bumps if left untreated or properly cared for results in unattractive scarring. The condition which affects mostly black men will be placed into the spotlight under a new public awareness program. The Moore Unique Pseudofolliculitis Barbae (PFB) Educational Awareness Initiative, the brainchild of dermatologist Dr. Milton Moore will help to educate men about razor bumps and the associated risks from improper care and treatment.

The campaign will see men receiving “expert grooming and skin care advice” which will be delivered through the media. Moore Unique Skin Care will also reach out to the targeted audience through community events and by giving away free sample products.

According to statistics, approximately 60% of African American men and 15% of Caucasians men in America suffer from razor bumps and other skin irritations resulting from shaving.
