A new skincare line for men claims to be the first ever to use an ingredient that inhibits testosterone deficiency. The line was created by the company, Laboratoires Didier Rase, which was started this year. The first products were launched earlier this year. The line is created using Phyto-androzyme, an ingredient derived from the magnolia plant. Cosmeticsdesign.europe.com noted that the company claims the extract “targets the depletion of a combination of major processes in the male skin aging process…”
Male aging according to Rase, the creator of the brand, is primarily due to a loss of the male sex hormone, testosterone. According to Rase, Phyto-androzyme is based on the same principles used for hormone replacement therapies for women.
The brand will include a five product line for the face, a two product line for the body as well as a four product line for the shaving and aftershave market.
