Australian company, Innova Pacific creators of Lemon Myrtle Essentials has launched a new line of natural skin care products utilizing lemon myrtle essential oils. The products include lip balm, body lotion, soaps, and mist sprays. According to the company the main ingredient, lemon myrtle is an essential oil derived from an Australian plant. Some of the new products in the Lemon Myrtle line can be used for more than one purpose. Lemon Myrtle essential oil is said to have natural insect repellant properties.

Reports indicate that lemon myrtle is used by the Aborigines for a number of purposes. Tests are currently being conducted to determine the efficacy of lemon myrtle as a disinfectant.
