Last week cyberspace was abuzz about the alleged breast augmentation of Sex and The City star, Cynthia Nixon. However, Nixon has come out blasting the media for irresponsible reporting. The 42-year old who was treated for breast cancer in 2006, said she went in for a check-up and not plastic surgery.

Nixon said that if she wanted breast augmentation, she would have done so prior to filming Sex and the City. Online sources quote her lambasting the media while explaining her hospital visit: “I was at St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital for my three-monthly checkup. I was in the Oncology Department. I guess they (the press) think that means plastic surgery.”
