Everyone knows that Popeye gets his strength from a can of spinach. Well, now if all goes as planned, you will be able to strengthen your skin and fight aging with spinach. A Canadian company, PureCell Technologies has received funding from the Canadian government to the tune of CAD$2.9 million to develop a spinach-based line of cosmetics.
PureCell says the company will begin by creating two anti-aging creams and a sunscreen using spinach as the main ingredient. The company said that studies revealed that extract from baby spinach has ‘anti-aging qualities that work from a cellular level.’ This means that products made from spinach should have a positive impact on minimizing the signs of aging.
