British actress Helen Mirren who took home the best actress Oscar on Sunday, February 25, was offered free cosmetic surgery treatments prior to Sunday’s ceremony. The 61-year old who won as was predicted by many industry insiders did not take up any of the offers for wrinkle treatment which included Botox.

The feisty Mirren is reported as saying that she is not “fond of needles and scalpels” and preferred using ‘make-up, wearing jewelry and a nice frock”.

Mirren won the Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in The Queen. Her successful acting career has earned her numerous awards, including Golden Globes, Emmies and SAGs.
