The world of cosmeceuticals is about to be shaken up in a major way. According to online reports women who want a delightful fragrance will no longer have to get it from a bottle. A new fragrance range called Swallowable Parfum will put an end to that since women can simply take a capsule.
The product was developed by Lucy McRae, an Australian artist, with some help from a biologist from Harvard University. McRae’s website gave the following explanation on how the fragrance pill works, “Fragrance molecules are excreted through the skin’s surface during perspiration, leaving tiny golden droplets on the skin that emanate a unique odor.”
McRae is described on her website as a body architect. No official launch date has been set for the new product.
