Cosmetics safety is an ever present concern, especially for pregnant women. The latest reports online indicate that Angel Perfume sold by Clarins Inc is thought to be a potential risk. The scent is manufactured by the French company Thierry Mugler.
The National Toxic Encephalopathy Foundation (NTEF) has also weighed in on the issue. The organization has gone as far as to organize a petition to the FDA. Since then, women have come forward the organization claims, saying they suspect the perfume may have caused problems in their pregnancies.
The FDA is currently examining any possible link between Angel Perfume and reports of a number of pregnancy related issues. According to the NTEF, the scent contains harmful chemicals which are also found in some pesticides.
