Twenty-year old supermodel, Ruslana Korshunova tragically ended her life on Saturday, June 28 according to reports. Korshunova, noted for her beauty apparently threw herself off her apartment building located in the Financial District in Manhattan. Megan Cuccia, medical examiner for Manhattan said that the model “died from blunt impact injuries.”

Korshunova who is of Russian ancestry who was born in Kazakhstan was discovered in 2003 when her picture caught the attention of Models 1, Debbie Jones. She appeared on the covers of the Elle French version as well as on the Polish and Russian versions of Vogue.  

Friends and associates of Korshunova said she was upbeat and happy and they cannot understand why she would kill herself. However, according to online reports, her messages on a social networking site are more telling. A few months ago she reportedly wrote, “I’m so lost. Will I ever find myself?”
