With the vast amount of cosmetic options on the market, sometimes making the right choice can be difficult for a consumer. Television shopping channel, QVC hopes to change all that with the creation of the Beauty Channel. The feed will be dedicated to beauty, and will feature four hours of advice on using cosmetics.
In reports online, director of merchandising for QVC UK, Judy Deuchar states, “The Beauty Channel allows us to rebroadcast the best of our constantly expanding beauty range, giving vendors another opportunity to reach a group of customers specifically interested in beauty products and advice.”
It is hoped that after seeing beauty experts use the products, buyers will then be able to make more educated choices.
The Pennsylvania-based QVC was founded in 1986 by Joseph Segel; and airs in four countries. The letters QVC stands for “Quality, Value, Convenience.”
