Scientists Say Longer Legs Really Are Sexier

Updated Jan 20, 2008

A Polish study has found that longer legs are seen as more attractive. The study led by anthropologist Dr. Boguslaw Pawlowski surveyed 218 Polish men and women who were asked to rate persons attractiveness based on images of seven men and women. The images were altered so the leg lengths varied by 5, 10 and 15 percent in comparison to the average leg length of the average Pole.

It was found that the volunteers selected the images of those persons whose legs were 5 percent longer than the norm. The report’s findings which were published in the journal of Evolution and Human Behaviour stated that the respondents’ body size did not impact the images they selected.

Dr. Boguslaw Pawlowski according to a report on Lifestyleextra.com said that “Long legs are signaling health.”
