The burgeoning relationship between the beauty industry and the Internet has spawned a number of online beauty advice forums. Even celebrities are now getting in on the act, sharing their own tips for fighting aging. According to reports, however, scientists feel that much of the advice being offered is misleading.

A group of them have created an organization called Sense About Science. Its aim is to help people evaluate the constant stream of advice delivered by celebrities and others. In a recent study, scientists were asked to scrutinize statements made by popular figures. They took issue with beauty advice from Pippa Middleton and Giselle Bundchen among others.
