What do Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton have in common besides their fragrances? Possibly the ire of singer and tabloid lothario John Mayer. Online sources report that Mayer has very strong opinion on celebs who have released their own scents.

Mayer was quoted as saying, “I don`t look at my fans and think, `Wow, they really like what I do musically. Imagine if I could get 60 more dollars out of them!’” Not that Mayer himself hasn’t not tried his hand at other ventures, he’s just not into the celebrity fragrance craze. In 2004 he had a rather unconventional program called John Mayer Has a TV Show.

Celebrity fragrances are showing no signs of slowing. Among the latest to release new scents are Halle Berry and Paris Hilton.
