Sun Exposure after Hair Removal Can be Harmful

According to Which? most persons who undergo laser hair removal procedures do not think about the associated risks. However, based on results from a survey conducted by the UK-based watchdog group, there is need for more information about the risks.

 

The main effects of going into the sun too soon after having laser hair removal according to Which? includes blisters, increased risk of burning, and even scarring. The group also stated that skin discoloration could also occur. Patients are advised to schedule their treatment during a time when their exposure to the sun is at a minimum.

 

Which? is lobbying the UK government to implement stricter guidelines for laser hair removal clinics.
