Fifty-nine percent of African American women think their skin is beautiful. This was the result of a survey conducted recently for a Vaseline Skinvoice survey. One thousand, four hundred and seventy-six (1.476) Black American women aged 18-64 took part in the survey last month. When asked to describe their skin, it is reported that almost 50% believe that their skin told a story and was a unique part of their identity.
The survey further revealed that African American women rated their skin as being ‘most important to them’. Another 77% of those polled said that they were happy with the color of their skin, believing that it was a source of pride.
