After 120 years,
Avon is looking to change the way they do business so as to increase sales. With declining profit margins,
Avon will be doing extensive restructuring of its operations in the next two years. The company’s budget for restructuring over the next three years is $500 million. As usual the first to go in this endeavor is jobs;
Avon will be reducing its workforce by nine hundred, a process it began in May 2006.
Other changes include increase advertising spending and development of new products which will make the brand more competitive on a global scale.
