Kristen Stewart recently joined Charlotte Gainsbourg to become the new face of the Spanish fashion house Balenciaga. According to reports published online, she will represent the brand’s next fragrance. In a released statement, she said, “I love Balenciaga fashion because it is incredibly bold and forceful, yet feminine and sexy”.

The fashion house seems equally smitten with the young star. Nicolas Ghesquière, the brand’s top designer was quoted as saying, “Kristen Stewart embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence...She shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga.”

Balenciaga’s first fragrance was launched in 2010. Interestingly, reports indicate that fashion houses declined to work with Stewart in the past. Many were apparently turned off by her downplayed style.
