According to a report in the Telegraph, an increasing number of men are opting for plastic surgery following marriages to younger women. Statistics from the UK Harley Medical Group indicate that there has been a 57 percent increase in the number of men who are opting for Botox injections and 47 percent in those going for male breast reduction.
The increase in the number of men opting for cosmetic procedures to turn back the clock is being referred to as The Sarkozy Effect after French President, Nicolas Sarkozy. His current wife, Carla Bruni is 13 years younger than he is and most of the men going in for surgery are also in second marriages to much younger women.
