Folk singer Jewel might be unrecognizable to fans in her upcoming movie role. She will play country crooner June Carter Cash in the film The June Carter Cash Story. News reports state that her crooked teeth, probably her best known feature, are not seen in recently posted pictures.

Jewel also changed her hair color and put in colored contact lenses for the role. She tweeted the picture along with the caption, “Here I am as June in my trailer with her blue eyes and perfect teeth.” There is speculation online that she resorted to dental caps rather than a cosmetic dentistry procedure to capture the late singer’s look.

Jewel will go before the cameras during the summer and the movie will air on Lifetime. The network has published no premiere date at this point.
