It has long been established that many beauty conscious individuals take notice of what celebrities do. The latest reports online suggest that High Definition (HD) makeup, typically reserved for stars in high definition features, is gaining popularity. The makeup, which was on display at New York Fashion Week, is generally applied with an airbrush.
A University of Southern California sociologist, Julie Albright, was quoted in reference to HD makeup, "The pressure is really on and the beauty bar is being raised." Women who request the makeup are said to want a "lifelike, flawless and picture-perfect" look, according to online reports.
Celeb watchers are already weighing in on which celebrities will need the masking effects of HD makeup. Many feel that big-screen beauty, Angelina Jolie has nothing to hide. Her boyfriend Brad Pitt however, is said to need it for his acne scars, as does Sienna Miller, a known chain-smoker.
