Over the last few years the growth of natural cosmetics and increasing use of natural ingredients in cosmetic and beauty products has grown tremendously. In fact, some natural ingredients have been spotlighted as the ingredients of the future. One noted public relations firm states that 10 natural ingredients will be the mainstay of the beauty industry for 2009.

These ingredients include the much vaunted Goji berry known for its super antioxidant properties and age and weight fighting properties. Other well known natural ingredients making the list are the Acai berry, blueberry, myrrh, probiotics and tumeric. The company, Pierce Mattie PR, also listed lesser known ingredients such as Acerola, Palmitoyl tripeptide-3 and argan oil.

Whether all these products will gain prominence is yet to be seen, but some are already well established in the industry.
