Dermud Dry Skin Treatment Body Cream by Ahava
Dermud Dry Skin Treatment Body Cream
Price: $30

From Cleopatra to Kristin Davis (the Ahava spokeswoman), of Sex and the City fame, the magical powers of the Dead Sea have enticed women and men who turn to nature to enhance their looks. The Dead Sea, rich in minerals and salts, is known throughout the world as having curative powers. Ahava uses the mineral rich mud as a basis for their new line of skincare products. The natural elements of magnesium, calcium, potassium, strontium, boron and iron are perfect for dry and damaged skin.

Ahava packages their Dermud Dry Skin Treatment in a large, easy-grasp tube. The design of the package, a pale pink with navy blue print, might speak to some as "geriatric" or old-age cream. While the package isn’t the most appealing, the cream itself has some good points.

Dermud Intensive Nourishing Body Cream is as smooth as can be. It goes on beautifully and absorbs quietly into the skin. It spreads nicely and seems to do its job. It offers relief to cracked, dry skin. The smell, however, is not so pleasant. It seems more like a medicinal treatment than a body cream. While the fragrance is not a plus, you will find relief for your dry skin. As far as creams go, Ahava Dermud performs well.

The bottom line: If you can get by the smell - it is a nice moisturizer.

Can be bought at: Bath and Body Works, Beauty First, or online at ahavaus.com.
