| Most of us have “mascara woes” at one time or another – smudging, clumping, and even allergic reactions. Wouldn’t it be nice if our eyelashes looked great all day or evening? Finding the right brand can be difficult and expensive. Enter “Kiss Me” Mascara. This unique product doesn’t coat the lashes. Instead it forms tiny, water-resistant “tubes” around each lash. The company claims that once applied, the tubes bind to the lashes and won’t run, clump, or flake. The mascara lives up to the company claims. It is long lasting and doesn’t smudge – which is wonderful until you try to get it off. It will come off, not with your usual, light, make up remover, but with gentle rubbing and water. (Rubbing might not be your favorite way to remove eye makeup.) You might feel as if your eyelashes are going to come out. When it comes off, you’ll find small shards of rubber, like soft, silastic pieces. This is one mascara that some people will absolutely adore, while others might find whole thing unpleasant.
The packaging screams "Halloween" makeup for a costume. It is garish, with a pink-wine color, which is not apt to attract all customers. (The website says that there is new packaging.) But then this is a product that isn’t for everyone. The mascara feels stiff and “gunky.” It’s as if the lashes are being weighed down by something on the lids. It applies fairly well, but makes the lashes clump together - another negative.
The bottom line: If you don’t mind the way it feels and how it looks when you take it off, go ahead. Tube your lashes instead of painting them.
