Essie Nail Polish by Essie
Essie Nail Polish
Price: $7

Pros: You can see it advertised in Oprah, Lucky, Allure, Vogue and Redbook, to name just a few magazines. Essie nail polish is making a big splash in the nail world. It’s winning awards and here’s why. If you are looking for more natural colors, Essie nail polish wins hands down. The colors are up-to-date and go with current fashions. Essie lacquers retain that freshly polished look for a longer period of time. With other polishes I have had to retouch after a day or two. Essie lasts at least 4 days without chipping. I also find that Essie is not as hard on my nails as some others I have tried. After I remove the polish, my nails are not as soft or as dry as they have been with other brands. Essie also has a full range of products for manicures such as hand and body lotions.

Cons: The product is great but you may have to go to a salon or beauty supply house to find it. It’s not always available at your local pharmacy or department store cosmetic counter.

The bottom line: For a fewer chips in your polish, my personal pick is Essie nail polish. You may have to go out of your way to get it, but it will be worth in the end. Put Essie on your beauty radar screen.

Can be bought at: You can find Essie products at most beauty supply houses. Check salons such as Macy’s. You can also go online to their website http://www.essie.com/ for a US state-by-state listing.
