| The petite black double decker compact - nothing noteworthy here. The “Be Prepared” Pink Kit does come in Trish McEvoy’s signature - "by the compact and then refill the product" which has been her BIG selling feature for as long as anyone can remember. It works well for some, but others find that is never seems to work for them. One color is used up while others are not touched.
The lipstick and glosses are fair, no real staying power, and they easily came off with eating and drinking. Some people typically never buy a lip product which they have to apply with their fingers. Since no brush is included, this product would probably be best for teens or 20-something women who will still use their fingers for applications. Maybe it’s an age thing, but older women tend to prefer a tube - lipstick and/or gloss.
The colors are nice but very average. They can be worn alone, applied over a lipstick, or blended to create new colors. The double-decker compact is a pain if you are using the lower cased shades because the mirror is in the top case and it is difficult to get the lip color on your brush (finger), hold the compact, and look in the mirror all at once. You need another hand. Neither the colors nor the glosses were highly pigmented - again probably more suited for younger women.
It is nice that some of the proceeds benefit the Girl Scouts Organization. Keep this compact in mind as a gift for the babysitter or a college-aged friend. Trish McEvoy is a nice line.
The bottom line: If you love pink then “be prepared” for eight shades of pink to tantalize your lips.
